Release, Relax, Unwind
THE ART OF LISTENING
My relationship to bodywork began through managing my own pain, from an extreme case of whiplash in my early teens. In an effort to find some comfort after major jaw surgery, I began practicing yoga. I found great relief through this and from the many forms of bodywork that I received.
Listen and silent carry the same letters. And, when we silence the story running through our minds, we listen to our bodies. When we feel comfortable in our own skin, we open our awareness to the possibilities of mystery, wisdom and knowing. We hear more clearly what our bodies are asking for, we make different choices, and we can be our own best advocates and healers. I am endlessly inspired by the adaptability of the body.
My hope is to facilitate a deepening connection, for each person I work with, in their process of embodiment. A safe awakening to their unique inner space.
I welcome you to explore the expanding universe inside of you...with me.

"I first started working with Pili when I was suffering from chronic plantar fasciitis, then continued to work with her for low back and leg flexibility. I was impressed by her knowledge of anatomy and efficient use of each session. She gave me practical exercises to do outside of visits that I could incorporate into my day.

BODYWORK THERAPY
A bodywork session combines many different modalities of hands on work, which may include; myofascial work, massage, cranial sacral and visceral work, breath awareness, movement and reeducation, therapeutic exercises and, of course, relaxation. I have found this approach to be beneficial, if you are wanting to resolve pain issues, chronic or acute, address movement patterns, or rehab from an accident or surgery, etc.
I will often give homework and suggestions for movement options and support.
I use a minimum to no lotions or oils, and ask that you refrain from applying any prior to your appointment. Please dress in shorts and sports bras, that allows for full range of motion of shoulders and hips, and for the alignment of your body to be seen.
TESTIMONIALS
There really are no words for the gratitude I feel for having found Pili; working with her feels like a warm and bright light of hope after many years facing physical pains and challenges that have gone perpetually undiagnosed, dismissed, and improperly treated when I have sought help. Pili listens so wholly, to my words and to my body, with a remarkable balance of exquisite tenderness (even when going deep), profound attentiveness, and evident knowledge and skill. She encourages me to be an active participant: she seeks (and listens to! and believes!) my live feedback; she asks me to deepen and notice her work with my own intentional movements; and, she invites me to learn new ways of moving and breathing to take home with me. She has been able to identify and start to alleviate the sources of some of my most persistent pains...to better understand and listen to my own body and what it needs, in ways that make much intuitive sense, but to which I had never before been exposed. I feel deep safety in her presence; my nervous system is at ease, such that I can be truly receptive to all she has to offer. She is gentle with and respectful of my whole being, physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. She has also been gracious with and welcoming of my transgender identity and body — with her, I can just be human. Pili is a gift in my life and in this world.
